Short, because there is not much to say.
GuardedLink is a link and QR-code checker built and run by Ashiran, a small independent team in Thailand. It is not a government service, a bank or a law firm. When we check a link, we open it in a separate browser that is not yours, follow every redirect, and tell you what we found and why. We never tell you a site is guaranteed safe: the answer is information for your own decision.
You can check links and QR codes, look up a seller and read our articles without an account and without paying. Free checks are limited for each connection, by the minute and by the day, so that one user cannot take the service away from everyone else. People who share one address, such as an office, a café or a mobile network, share that allowance.
Paid plans are for chat groups: the whole group shares one pool of checks each month, and every group gets 3 free checks first. What each plan includes and what it costs is on the Plans page.
Anyone who signs in can file a report about a shop, a LINE ID, a phone number, a bank account or a website. One person counts once for each account or site. A report is what a person told us, not a verdict, and we do not verify each story. If a report about you is wrong, write to us and a reviewer will read it.
Adverts from Google AdSense appear only in fixed places we chose, and never inside a scan result, a shared result, the answer to a lookup or a report you filed. We count visits with Google Analytics on our ordinary pages only, never on a result, a sign-in page or a payment page. We do not pass what you check or report to Google or to any ad network.
In short: we keep the link or code you checked and its result, we store a salted hash of your connection and not your IP address, and you can delete your account on the sign-in page. Everything we keep, and everything we never keep, is listed on the Privacy page.
We do not sell what you check or report. Nobody pays us to rate their site, and we do not change a rating because a site asked us to.
If these terms change, the new version is posted on this page.
Questions, corrections, or a report you think is wrong: how to reach us is on the Contact page.
May we count this visit? We count visits to our ordinary pages with Google Analytics, which keeps a cookie in your browser. It is never on a scan result. Privacy
