Who we are, and how a check decides

The short version: we open the link so you do not have to, we tell you what we found and why, and we never tell you a site is guaranteed safe.

Who runs this site

GuardedLink is built and run by Ashiran, a small independent team in Thailand led by Ashiran Arayachon. It is not a government service, a bank or a law firm, and nobody pays us to rate their site.

How a link check works

We open the link in a separate browser that is not yours and follow every redirect to where it really ends. Then we look at what is there: how old the domain is, whether it is on public blocklists, whether the page imitates a well-known brand, asks for a password or a payment, or pushes an app download, and whether people have reported it to us.

The answer is one of four levels — low risk, suspicious, dangerous or unknown — with every reason listed underneath, so you can see why and decide for yourself.

What “low risk” means

Low risk means the checks we ran found nothing wrong at the moment we looked. It is not a promise that a site is safe: a page can change after we check it, and a new scam can look clean. If a page asks for a password, a one-time code or a transfer you did not plan, stop and check another way.

Where reports come from

Reports are filed by people who signed in. One person counts once for each account or site, and we do not verify their story, so we show how many people reported something, when, and the reason they chose — not a verdict about anyone. No reports only means nobody has told us yet.

Our own sites

Guarded Link belongs to the same group as ashiran.com, ashidock.com and ashiranscore.com. Our reviewers mark those as known sites, and that removes one thing only: the warning that a domain is new. Every other check applies to them exactly as it does to anyone else.

If a report about you is wrong

If you believe a report about your bank account, phone number, LINE ID, shop or website is mistaken, send us a message with what was reported and why it is wrong. Our reviewers read every request. When reports come from fake or abusive accounts, we close those accounts and their reports stop counting. We never show anyone the name of the person who filed a report.
